  • Varun joined Comm as a software engineer in January 2022. Prior to that, he worked at AWS for two years. He works primarily on the services side of the codebase. Outside work, you can find him enjoying a drink and a movie at Alamo Drafthouse.
  • William is a software engineer intern working on the Rust side of the codebase. William joined Comm in September 2023 in his final year studying computer science at the University of Michigan. Outside of work, he loves reading sci-fi, playing video games, and listening to indie bands.
  • Ashoat, that’s me. I’ve been modding and building community software online since 2005. Worked at FB from 2011-2016 where I started the posts search project as an intern. Was one of the top 5 code reviewers by volume when I left FB.
• 4 devs working out of an agency in Krakow, Poland called Software Mansion. They are the best React Native shop in the world and employ over 100 people out of an office in Krakow
  • Tomek is a software engineer experienced in backend, frontend and native technologies. He joined the team in August 2020 and spends most of his time doing code review, discussing and designing solutions, and advising other team members. He graduated from AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow with B.S. in Computer Science in 2015. In his free time, he enjoys playing computer games and reading books.
  • Bartek is a software engineer working mostly on the React Native part of the codebase. He joined the Comm team in October 2022. He previously worked on the Expo SDK development. He graduated from AGH UST in Automatics and Control Systems. In his free time, he enjoys mountain hiking and riding motorcycles.
  • Kamil is a software engineer working on things connected with JS (React/React Native/Node) and C++, but also wants to learn Rust in the future. He joined the team in August 2022. Previously working as a full-stack web developer. Kamil is a fourth-year Computer Science student at AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. Outside of technology, Kamil enjoys hiking, video games, and history.
  • Angelika is a software engineer experienced in React Native and native technologies. She joined the team in October 2024, and was previously working as a mobile developer in various projects. She graduated from Jagiellonian University in Cracow in Computer Science. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and playing computer games.

Part-time

  • Yiannis is our cryptographer. He’a a Lecturer at the Royal Holloway, University of London, and joined the team in February of 2024. Yiannis’s academic background is in cryptography, applied cryptography, and blockchain technologies. He’s currently helping draft our whitepaper.
  • Rahul is our growth manager tasked with expanding the Comm community and maintaining user engagement. He joined in November 2023 in his final year at Rutgers University. Beyond work, he enjoys watching 2010s crime dramas, playing ping pong, and traveling.
  • Mark handles all things recruiting here at Comm. He joined the team in February 2022 and graduated from Arizona State University. Formerly he grew the team at DFINITY from 20 to 200+, worked in leadership hiring at Facebook, and consulted with startups like Lyft and Snap in their infancy on hiring. His free time is mainly spent with his two young kids and wife.
